Flame retardant thermal clothing and underwear

Sometimes employees work in high temperatures and with flammable substances. In such a case, flame-retardant work clothing is one of the safety requirements. In combination with thermal, it not only protects the clothing against fire, but also your employee against the heat. The ultimate thermal underwear is comfortable and ensures that the wearer perspires as little as possible. It is extremely important to build your work gear from several layers of clothing. The first layer consists of soft underwear with a perfect fit, moisture-regulating and breathable properties and possibly reinforcement in the fabric where necessary. This includes thermal underwear, Long Johns, balaclavas, undershirts and socks.

3-layer system

If you want to get optimal performance from thermal clothing, we recommend sticking to the 3-layer system. You start with 1 layer of fire-retardant thermal underwear that ensures that you stay dry. A second layer of fire-retardant fleece, also called an 'intermediate layer', is placed on top of this. This layer ensures that you stay extra warm and functions as insulation. And the last and third layer is the protective outer layer. This consists of a fire-retardant work jacket that protects you against wind, rain, snow and cold.
