That is the big advantage of S2 work shoes. These safety shoes are made of an upper material that is water-resistant and water-repellent for up to 60 minutes. The material will therefore not absorb water quickly. This keeps your feet warm and dry and your shoes do not become too heavy due to the water.
This does not mean that S2 work shoes are completely waterproof. Are you not standing with your feet under water all day, but is your working environment still humid? S2 work shoes compared to other work shoes

In contrast to S1P work shoes and S3 work shoes, safety shoes with the S2 standard do not have an anti-perforation sole. Do you really need this? Then S3 safety shoes offer the same protection plus a midsole against perforation (up to 1100 N) and a profiled outsole.
In a humid environment, a pair of S1P work shoes is not recommended. These are the perfect choice for warehouses, but they do not have the signature water-resistant upper material of S2 shoes. That is really something that only applies to work shoes with the EN ISO 20345 class 2 and 3 standard. Of course, the comfort of your feet has also been taken into account.
