A high-visibility vest over your workwear
A high-visibility vest is a visible outer layer over your everyday clothing. Fluorescent material helps you stand out during the day; the reflective strips reflect incoming light. The Milwaukee vests in this range are class 2 according to EN ISO 20471. This does not make the clothing underneath high-visibility clothing in its own right.
A vest also needs to fit properly over your chosen work jacket. The versions with ten or fifteen pockets have internal size adjustment, allowing you to adapt the fit to the clothing layer underneath.
Differences in pockets and wearing comfort
The premium version has fifteen pockets, including a back pocket for items such as a tablet or notebook. A padded collar makes the construction softer around the neck. The model with ten pockets also offers a clearly visible badge holder and internal size adjustment, with a simpler layout.
The basic high-visibility vest has a zip, a badge holder, an internal pocket and a microphone tab. It is a straightforward version for when you need fewer storage compartments. The choice is therefore not just about visibility, but also about what you carry during the working day.
Combining with other equipment
The models with ten and fifteen pockets have an opening for use over a harness. The vest itself is not fall protection. For your other clothing layers, there is Milwaukee workwear, with trousers, shirts, hoodies and jackets.
A high-visibility colour on another product does not automatically mean the same clothing class. Milwaukee hi-vis gloves, for example, have their own function and protection markings. The class 2 statement on this page refers specifically to the high-visibility vests.
