Igor: softshell with a fleece inner
Igor is a three-layer softshell with a hood and fleece on the inside. The extended back covers more of your lower back, and the cuffs and hood are adjustable. These are useful details if you regularly bend down or work outdoors.
Herock describes Igor as water-repellent. This differs from a rain jacket whose seams are also sealed: the construction of the whole garment matters, not just the properties of its fabric.
Aspen: a rain jacket with sealed seams
Aspen is a laminated rain jacket with taped seams and waterproof zips. The adjustable hood can be stowed away. While Igor is a softshell with a fleece inner, Aspen’s construction is designed to keep rain out.
For a rain layer as part of your work outfit, explore Herock rainwear. A rain jacket and a warm mid-layer meet different needs; a jacket for rain is not automatically your warmest jacket too.
Add a fleece or bodywarmer
Herock also has fleece styles, including Darius and Deva. In the Herock sweatshirts and fleeces overview, you will find this layer alongside sweatshirts. A Herock bodywarmer is a sleeveless alternative.
When high visibility is required, there is another choice to make. Herock high-visibility workwear brings these styles together. You can find the other clothing groups and accessories at Herock workwear and safety footwear.
Kani: an Industry jacket with stretch
Kani is a work jacket with 2-way stretch, back pleats and an extended back panel. The fabric consists of 65% polyester, 32% cotton and 3% elastane. The catalogue specifies industrial laundering to EN ISO 15797, procedure 8A, for Kani. This differs from the Igor softshell in the same Industry line, which has a 30 °C washing instruction. Care therefore depends on the specific model.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Herock Igor and Aspen?
Igor is a three-layer softshell with a fleece inner, a hood and an extended back. Aspen is a laminated rain jacket with taped seams, waterproof zips and a stowable hood.
Does Herock also have a sleeveless layer to wear over my workwear?
Yes. Herock offers bodywarmers. They cover your upper body without sleeves; that is a different choice from a fleece or work jacket that covers your arms too.
