High visibility in different clothing layers
Herock's High Vis line includes trousers, jackets, T-shirts, polos and sweatshirts. Fluorescent fabric helps you stand out during the day; reflective bands reflect light, for example from headlights. The specified visibility class applies to the particular garment variant.
The different clothing layers also include Herock work trousers, Herock work jackets and Herock T-shirts and polos. With High Vis, it also matters which clothing remains visible when you take off an outer layer.
The colour variant can change the visibility class
A different colour distribution can result in a different class for the same trouser model. Olympus and Torex HV illustrate this:
- Olympus: navy/yellow and navy/orange are class 1. Yellow/navy and orange/navy are class 2.
- Torex HV: black/yellow is class 1. Yellow/navy and orange/navy are class 2.
For these models, the class therefore applies to the specific colour variant, not just the model name. The order of the colours really makes a difference here.
Certified combinations of tops and trousers
Herock specifies a combined visibility class for certain combinations. In the combination table, the class 2 Elips T-shirt together with the class 2 variant of the Olympus trousers forms a class 3 combination. According to that table, the same Elips T-shirt with a class 1 variant of Olympus remains class 2.
Classes are therefore not added together. The specified combination, variant and conditions of wear are decisive. For some other combinations in the table, for example, the top must be tucked into the trousers. Such a condition applies to that particular combination, not automatically to every set.
Freedom of movement, pockets and reinforcement
Alongside the visibility class, practical differences between models remain important. Hector HV is a class 2 trouser with segmented reflective bands, 4-way stretch panels at the crotch and knees, and Cordura stretch knee pockets. Its features include a phone compartment in the thigh pocket, an ID badge holder and a hammer loop.
Torex HV uses stretch panels at the crotch and sides, together with a canvas fabric containing Coolmax. The collection therefore offers different material and movement solutions within high-visibility clothing.
A reflective detail is not the same as a class designation
A reflective print on ordinary work trousers is not a specified visibility class. For work requiring a particular class, the garment variant and its corresponding marking are decisive. You can find the complete brand overview in Herock workwear and work footwear.
