Leather work boots or neoprene boots?
A leather work boot gives you a sturdy shaft and the familiar fit of leather work footwear. The B701SMWP has crazy horse leather and a K3 outsole. The Buckshot BSH010 combines leather with a protective scuff cap and a Buckshot outsole. Both models are waterproof and have a steel safety toe cap and midsole.
BBZ boots have a different construction: neoprene with a rubber outer layer. The 5 mm neoprene layer extends all the way to the toes. This makes the BBZ series worth considering for wet, muddy work where you need a waterproof boot with insulation. The BBZ6000, BBZ8000 and BBZ9000 are completely metal-free and have reflective details all around.

Ankle support, AN or metatarsal protection?
The BBZ6000 provides support around the ankle and Achilles tendon. If you want additional protection against impact to the ankle, the BBZ8000 carries the AN marking for this. You will also find this additional protection in the leather BVIZ5. The BBZ9000 focuses on the metatarsal area: the M marking stands for metatarsal protection, in addition to toe protection.
The E marking on BBZ models means energy absorption in the heel. This describes a different feature from AN impact protection around the ankle. You can therefore compare the differences directly without overlooking the support offered by the base model.
Insulation and sole of the BBZ series
The BBZ6000, BBZ8000 and BBZ9000 have CI cold insulation and HI heat insulation. Their BBZ S5 rubber outsole combines SR slip resistance, ladder grip (LG), fuel resistance (FO) and resistance to hot contact (HRO). The non-marking sole does not leave marks on floors.
