The Blan Compact Liquid Detergent (formerly known as the Roots Clean At 60) is intended to clean contaminated fire-retardant clothing. Roots offers work clothing, work shoes and PPE to the oil and gas industry, where "Oil based mud" is one of the heaviest contaminants imaginable and is therefore very difficult to remove from fire-retardant clothing. In particular, companies that do offshore washing often use a "General" detergent or even bleach, which can result in shrinkage and loss of safety properties such as the fire retardant function. People were often told that without boiling wax the contamination cannot be removed from the clothing, but this results in shrinkage. That is why this detergent was developed. It ensures that work clothing remains clean at 60 degrees Celsius.
