In the so-called 3-layer system, fleece functions as a second layer. Because fleece is made of synthetic knitted fibers, often polyester, which does not absorb moisture. The thickness of fleece is expressed in grams per m2, the higher this number the warmer the fleece is. The standard rating is 200 gr/m2, which is suitable for standard work in normal winter temperatures. 100 gr/m2 is considered summer fleece and therefore suitable for summer mornings and evenings. If you work or have activities in extremely cold conditions, we recommend purchasing fleece of 300 gr/m2 or higher.
