What is a sporty safety shoe?

All this is possible through the development of strong and flexible materials such as lightweight kevlar, plastic protective toecaps, lightweight outsoles and breathable and water-repellent membranes and linings. Nowadays there are also sporty work sneakers, loafers and sporty and cheap work shoes available.

Sporty work shoes with Kevlar midsole

Typically, Kevlar soles are slightly more expensive than a steel midsole, but the benefits do not outweigh the cost difference:

  • Protection of the entire sole surface

A Kevlar midsole protects the entire sole surface, because a Kevlar midsole is sewn to the shaft. This gives you 100% protection.

  • Less tired feet

With Kevlar midsoles you will get tired feet less quickly than with steel midsoles. Kevlar is soft and extremely flexible and therefore adapts better to your feet.

  • Better protection against slipping and slipping

Due to the extremely flexible nature of Kevlar, sporty work shoes with Kevlar midsoles provide increased contact with the ground surface and therefore less risk of slipping and slipping.

PU/Pu soles are also insulating against cold down to -20ºC and heat-resistant up to 140ºC. PU/TPU soles are heat resistant up to 110ºC and PU/Nitrile and PU/Vibram soles are resistant to extreme heat up to approximately 200 ºC and short-term contact heat up to 300 ºC. Sporty safety shoes with a PU midsole and a Vibram rubber outsole have the same properties as work shoes with PU/nitrile rubber soles, but offer extra comfort and safety and have a longer lifespan than a standard outsole.

Water-repellent membranes and breathable lining

Sporty work shoes remain waterproof with the help of lightweight water-repellent and breathable membranes such as Gritex, Spo-Tex and Sympatex, which are incorporated between the different layers in sporty Grisport work shoes. Cambrelle is a light inner lining that keeps your feet dry and fresh for a long time in your sporty work shoes. Cambrelle® is a synthetic non-woven textile that is highly moisture-absorbing, odor-resistant and breathable. Unlike leather, Cambrelle® dries faster, making it less susceptible to mold formation.
