Professional rainwear from Portwest
Hardworking professionals deserve the best rain gear. It is therefore important that the wearer is protected as best as possible against the rain and that the wearer loses as little productivity as possible. Portwest therefore only has rainwear with the EN20471 certification. This means that this clothing offers protection against weather influences in the form of rain, fog and wet snow.
Professional use of rainwear requires that it meets the European standard EN20471. The clothing has been tested for water resistance but also for water vapor resistance. The top number (x) next to the EN 343 icon indicates the water resistance class. The highest achievable class is 3. In that case, the water resistance in original condition and after-treatment is at least 1300mm. The bottom number (y) next to the EN 343 icon indicates the water vapor resistance class. The highest class is 3. In that case the water vapor resistance is less than 20m2 Pa/W.
