The Craft Principle
Since 1977, Craft has been active in research and development of ventilation and moisture-wicking properties of various materials. This effort is paying off in the form of the Craft Principle. This principle is Craft's way of producing functional workwear, training and sportswear for the best microclimate and best performance. An intense training session ensures that the body produces enough sweat, this is how it should be and proves that you are pushing yourself to your limits. If you do not wear functional sportswear, sweat will remain in the clothing and block the pores, which increases your body temperature. Eventually your clothes become damp, cold and heavy, and this reduces your performance. 3-layer system
Base layer
The base layer or underlayer transports moisture away from the skin and distributes it over the outside of the fabric, either evaporating there or being passed on to the next layer. For optimal performance and comfort, Craft base layer clothing should always be worn under your outer layers, regardless of the weather.
Middle layer
The Craft middle layer provides insulation and warmth while transporting moisture and excess heat to the next layer or into the surrounding air. As the temperature drops, this layer ensures that your important body heat is preserved without reducing movement.
Protective layer
The third and outer layer is the protection against the elements and ensures comfort and performance regardless of the conditions. Against the laws of logic, the Craft Protection Layer protects against rain, wind and cold at the same time, while removing excess heat and moisture from the lower layers.
