The popular Redbrick Safety Sneakers have been renewed and will be available from Unishore Workwear from June 2025. With an improved design and innovative technologies, such as the lightweight ProTec™ Foam sole, these safety shoes offer optimum comfort and safety. The collection meets the latest ISO standards and is suitable for various sectors, from logistics to heavy industry.
Protec Foam sole
The lightweight ProTec Foam sole is incredibly lightweight, making the shoes up to 200 grams lighter per pair. That’s a difference you’ll notice at the end of the day. In addition, the soles are constructed from a sturdy, wear-resistant shell while the core is made from lighter, softer materials. This unique combination provides the wearer with cushioning with every step.
Hard-wearing microfiber as a replacement for leather
Where the original Redbrick models often had a leather upper, this collection has opted for the durable microfiber. This is not only durable but also provides a comfortable fit for more everyday comfort together with the Mesh lining. In the Splash model they even offer an extremely waterproof version.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between safety shoes and safety sneakers?
Safety sneakers have a sporty look and often offer more comfort when walking for long periods. Safety shoes are usually sturdier and more robust. Both can meet safety categories such as S1, S2 or S3. Safety sneakers are popular in logistics and care, safety shoes in construction and industry. The appearance differs, but the protection does not have to.
What is better, high or low safety shoes?
High safety shoes offer more support to the ankles and are suitable for rough or uneven surfaces. Low safety shoes are lighter, more flexible and offer more freedom of movement. The choice depends on your work and environment. For standing work indoors, low models are often more comfortable. For outdoor work or extra protection, high shoes are wiser.
Can I declare safety shoes?
This depends on your employment contract and collective labor agreement. In some sectors, the employer is required to provide safety shoes or to reimburse the costs. In other cases, you may be able to deduct them as business expenses. Check this with your employer or tax advisor. Sometimes a reimbursement applies for wear after a certain period.
Can safety sneakers also be waterproof?
Yes, there are safety sneakers with a waterproof membrane such as GORE-TEX or other coatings. These models combine comfort with protection against moisture. They are ideal for people who walk a lot in wet environments. When purchasing, pay attention to the S2 or S3 standard. Not all safety sneakers are automatically waterproof.
Which safety shoes for painful feet?
For painful feet, safety sneakers from brands such as Reebok Work, Puma Safety and Solid Gear are an excellent choice. These brands are known for their comfortable fit, light materials and good shock absorption. Many models have soft insoles, breathable upper material and support in the right places. Preferably choose sneakers with a removable insole if you wear arch supports. Also pay attention to a wide last and sufficient cushioning to guarantee long-term comfort.
