Your company logo should look good not only on screen, but also on the clothing your team wears at work. At Unishore Workwear, we prepare the logo, agree the details with you and apply the print in-house. Some of that preparation takes place while we are waiting for the clothing to arrive.
1. The clothing and logo are the starting point
A chest logo on a polo shirt calls for a different layout from a large company name on the back of a jacket. The shape of your logo, the available space and any seams or pockets determine what is possible. Standard printing is available from one garment, so an extra item for a new colleague does not have to mean a large order.
Our usual dimensions are 10 cm wide or high for the chest, 8 cm wide or high for a sleeve and 25 cm wide or high for the back, provided the garment has enough space. We make round logos approximately 20% smaller. The neck position, just below the collar, is also an option; the size depends on how subtle or prominent you want the logo to be. Prefer a different size? Other dimensions can be agreed, as long as they suit the logo and garment.
2. You receive a digital proof
We prepare your logo and create a digital proof showing the proposed position, size and finish. Your approval of that proof is part of the process. This lets us agree the result before the logo goes onto your clothing.
We do not wait for the clothing to arrive before starting this preparation. While your order is on its way to us, we prepare the logo and proof. That saves time once the garments are here.
3. The printing method suits the clothing and its use
One of our methods is DTF: the logo is printed onto transfer film and then applied to the garment using a heat press. For clothing that is industrially laundered, we use suitable industrial transfers. We apply those transfers to the garments ourselves.
The fabric may also require a special solution. On softshells, logos with a softshell blocker prevent dye from the jacket migrating into the logo. Helly Hansen softshells are an exception within our range: we can use all the logo types we offer at Unishore Workwear on these garments. We do not print on fleece; we offer embroidery instead.
The look of your logo matters too. An embroidery-look transfer gives it the appearance of embroidery, applied as a print. On suitable rain and winter jackets, this avoids an embroidery needle passing through the outer fabric.
4. We apply your logo in-house
Once the clothing has arrived and you have approved the proof, we can apply the print. Unishore Workwear handles both the details of your logo and its application to the clothing.
Delivery time depends on the availability of the clothing and the agreed personalisation. The delivery estimate for an undecorated garment is therefore not automatically the delivery time for your complete order with a logo. Our delivery times page explains how clothing with different lead times is shipped and what additional time applies to personalisation.
5. Unused industrial logos remain available
We generally order industrial logos in batches of 50. That does not mean you need 50 garments straight away. If you use only some of the logos for the first order, we store the rest free of charge for a later top-up. The individual logos have a shelf life of two years.
This is useful when a new colleague joins or a jacket needs replacing. For each top-up, we review which clothing and logo position are needed. The earlier batch of logos and the number of garments remain two separate things.
